Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Versus app and its services. By using Versus you agree to them.
The service
Versus lets you rank an artist's songs through head-to-head battles, hear short previews, and share the resulting rankings. Catalogs are assembled from third-party music databases and may contain errors; we curate but make no completeness guarantee.
Accounts
An account is optional. If you create one you must be 13 or older, and you're responsible for activity under it. You can delete your account — and everything in it — from inside the app at any time.
Your content
Rankings you create are yours. You grant us the license needed to host and display them at their public link until you take the link down or delete them. Don't share content that is unlawful, hateful, or impersonates others; we may remove content that is.
Music previews & metadata
Audio previews are 30-second clips served via Apple's iTunes Search API and remain the property of their rights holders; full songs are linked out to Apple Music. Catalog metadata comes from MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive.
Purchases & rewarded ads
The Pro unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple under their terms. Refunds are handled by Apple. On the free tier, watching an optional rewarded ad can unlock extras; ad availability isn't guaranteed, and unlocks granted by ads are temporary by design.
Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no scraping at scale, no probing or disrupting the servers, no circumventing limits or access controls.
Disclaimers
Versus is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change is acceptance. Questions: hello@versus-ranker.com.
